How to make talking fruit videos: script, voices and captions
Make a talking fruit drama from an original script: set up the cast, assign voices, review the scene images, animate the dialogue and finish the captions.

The practical answer
Start with the Fruit videos template, choose a small cast and write one speaker’s line per scene. Assign each character a voice, generate and review the pictures and dialogue, then use Make them talk for the approved scenes. Check captions and pacing before exporting.
Give the conversation one problem to resolve
Choose a specific situation: a missing birthday cake, a misunderstood invitation or a suspicious shopping receipt. Two speakers with different information can carry a complete short. Write the final reveal first, then make every earlier line help the viewer understand why it matters.
Keep each scene to one speaker. A line should either reveal information, challenge the previous speaker or change the situation. Remove exchanges that repeat the same accusation without moving the story forward. Read the dialogue aloud before asking the characters to perform it.
Choose the fruit cast and assign voices
The Fruit videos template opens in Characters talk with a ready cast and starter dialogue. Keep the characters you need, or add a character from the library. Give every speaker a voice before generating the scene sequence. A distinct voice makes a change of speaker easier to follow even when the viewer looks away.
Keep the fruit shape, clothes and identifying accessories stable. If you introduce a new character, give it a short appearance description and prepare its picture in the Fruit people look. Avoid adding extra characters just to fill the frame; a simple cast is easier to stage and review.
Write and check one spoken line per scene
You can paste a script in “Name: line” format or write the lines in the scene list. Each scene belongs to one speaker. Clippie supports up to 40 talking scenes, with a limit of 240 characters per spoken line; treat those as limits, not a target to fill.
Use short sentences with one clear intention. Place delivery cues such as a whisper or a sigh where they clarify the performance, then listen to the generated voice. If a line feels rushed, shorten it instead of trying to hide the problem with louder music or more cuts.
Build a six-line fruit drama from a finished script
Try this original fridge-mystery script with Strawberry and Banana from the starter cast. Paste only the example below into the dialogue importer. The names stay the same on every line; the parenthetical direction describes the picture rather than adding words to the performance.
The structure is accusation, evidence, a misleading explanation and a final reveal. Start with a short exchange like this so you can hear the voices and check the fruit faces before producing a longer episode. These are newly written example lines; the video excerpt below shows a separate Clippie fruit story.

Approve pictures and voices before making them talk
Generate the scene pictures and voice lines, then check who is speaking, what is visible and whether the delivery fits the joke or reveal. Correct the still image and spoken line before turning the scene into a talking clip. The Make them talk action shows its AI credit cost before generation.
Watch the resulting conversation from beginning to end. Leave enough time to understand a reaction and keep music below the voices. Check the names and punctuation in captions against the final audio. Export in the intended frame shape and review the output at phone size before sharing it.
- One named speaker per scene.
- Every speaker has a voice.
- The reveal is understandable without extra explanation.
- Pictures match the correct character and location.
- Captions match the final dialogue.
Common questions
Are AI fruit stories the same as fruit ASMR videos?
No. Fruit stories use recurring characters and dialogue. Fruit ASMR focuses on a satisfying action and its sound, such as slicing a glass-like fruit. The scripting and pacing are different.
Can multiple fruit characters speak at the same time?
Characters talk is arranged as one speaker’s line per scene. Build the exchange with alternating lines so each scene has a clear speaker.
