Which cartoon look to use. A quick guide.
Matching the look to the story
Every cartoon look is a Clippie style, so all of them work in either frame:
- Polished cartoon: Clean and bright. Good for Reddit stories, confessions and workplace drama.
- Vibrant cartoon: The same style, with louder colours, for comedy and fast shorts.
- 90s Disney: Warm and hand-drawn, for fairy tales and fables.
- Adult cartoon: Bold outlines and exaggerated faces, for grown-up humour.
- Corporate satire: Dark 2D with office humour, for work and money stories.
- Creepy and Dark cartoon: Shadows and wide eyes, for horror. See the creepy cartoon page.
Keeping one character the same
A cartoon falls apart if the hero changes shirt between scenes. Add a character with a name and a “Looks like” line, and mention them with @ in your script. Be specific: “short man, red beanie, green jacket, big glasses”. Then look through the scenes and redraw any that drifted.
Writing for a drawn scene
Each line usually becomes its own picture, so it helps to write things that can be seen. “He was angry” gives the picture little. “He slammed the phone on the table” gives it a scene. For more control, add instructions to a scene and steer how it gets drawn.

Frequently asked questions.
Can AI turn my own story into a cartoon?
Yes. Paste the story as your script. Clippie splits it into scenes, draws one per line and narrates it. Your words stay as you wrote them.
Is it moving animation or still pictures?
Scenes start as drawings with gentle movement. To add real motion, animate a scene with AI, which uses AI credits and shows the price before you start.
Can I change the style after generating?
Yes. You can redraw a video’s pictures in a new look, so the script, voice and captions stay the same.
Can I make a cartoon of a known character?
Do not rely on it for anything you publish. Known characters belong to their owners, and platforms can remove those videos. Make original characters instead.
What does a video use from my plan?
Drawing the scene pictures and editing are included. The voiceover uses voice minutes and the finished export uses export minutes. Animating scenes is optional and uses AI credits, and the price shows before you start.
