Long horror stories for YouTube, scripted, voiced and drawn.
A horror story needs room to build. Draft up to 10 minutes with the AI writer or paste your own longer story, then Clippie draws each scene in 16:9 and a narrator takes it from there.

Horror takes time. Here is the routine.
- 1
Choose the length first
Pick 3, 5 or 10 minutes in the writer, and the Horror, Thriller or Suspenseful tone. Anything over two minutes uses a long-form structure. Paste your own script to go longer.
- 2
Choose how it should look
A cartoon keeps it stylised. Film still and Ultra realistic look like a movie. True crime looks like security footage. Each gives a different kind of fear.
- 3
Slow it down
Normal pacing holds each scene for 5 to 8 seconds, which gives dread time to build. Use a low voice, and raise the tension in the script, not the volume.
How to structure a long horror story. That people finish.
A structure for 5 to 10 minutes
Long horror holds attention through questions, not jump scares. This shape works for most stories:
- A hook: Say what went wrong in the first lines: “I still have the key to the room that isn’t there.”
- Normal life: Make the place and the person ordinary, so the first wrong detail stands out.
- Small wrong things: Three or four, each harder to explain away than the last.
- Failed explanation: The narrator finds a sensible reason. It then stops working.
- Confrontation: Show less than you could. What is implied usually scares more.
- A last line: One detail that changes what the viewer just heard.
Using stories that already exist
Stories on creepypasta sites and horror forums usually belong to their authors, and many channels get permission before narrating them. Old tales and folklore are often free to retell. Writing your own is the cleanest route, and it is also what YouTube’s originality rules reward.
Horror in other languages
Fear translates well. The realistic sample above is narrated in Portuguese, and Clippie can write, voice and caption a story in many languages. Have a native speaker check the script before you publish.

Frequently asked questions.
How long should a horror story video be?
As long as the story earns, and no longer. Three to ten minutes suits most single stories. Longer compilations are usually several stories in a row. Paste them into one script if you want a single video.
Can I narrate an existing creepypasta?
Only if the author allows it. Many creepypasta authors keep their rights, and some give clear permission on their page. Ask, credit them, and keep a record.
How is this different from the creepy cartoon maker?
The creepy cartoon maker is about one visual style. This page is about long-form horror stories in any dark look, and how to write them so they hold for several minutes.
Can I use a real unsolved case?
You can, but take care with real people. For real cases, see the True Crime Video Maker and stick to public records. Fiction is simpler.
Do horror stories get ads on YouTube?
YouTube decides per video, and graphic content is more likely to be limited. Implied violence usually fares better than shown violence. Check its advertiser-friendly guidelines.
What does a video use from my plan?
Drawing the scene pictures and editing are included. The voiceover uses voice minutes and the finished export uses export minutes. Animating scenes is optional and uses AI credits, and the price shows before you start.
