Story videos for little ones, that you check first.
Bright 3D worlds, picture-book scenes and a gentle narrator from a script you approve. Good for fables, first lessons and stories with the same friendly cast each week.
- Story looks45 to choose from
- AI voices125, plus a voice library
- CaptionsIn 100+ languages
Sample clips of three looks that suit younger viewers. They show the look, not a finished episode.
Write it, check it. Then publish it.
- 1
Start with the lesson
Pick one idea a child can follow, such as sharing or being brave. Keep the cast small and the sentences short.
- 2
Meet the cast once
Add your characters with a name and a “Looks like” line, so the bear stays the same bear in every scene and every episode.
- 3
Watch every frame
AI pictures can draw odd details. Redraw any scene that looks wrong, listen to the whole voiceover, and only then export.
- 4
Mark it made for kids
Set the audience correctly when you upload to YouTube. That is a legal duty for you as the channel owner, not a preference.
Children’s content has rules. Here are the main ones.
YouTube’s made for kids setting
YouTube requires every channel to say whether its videos are made for kids, to comply with the US COPPA law and similar rules. Videos made for kids do not get personalized ads or comments, among other limits. A cartoon is not automatically made for kids, but stories aimed at young children usually are. Read YouTube Help and get advice if you are unsure.
Publishing on YouTube does not put a video on the YouTube Kids app. That is a separate decision YouTube makes.
What to check before you publish
Clippie has no child-safety review of your video. That check is yours:
- The script: Read the AI draft aloud. Nothing frightening, nothing a child should not copy.
- The pictures: Look at each scene for wrong limbs, odd faces and accidental scary details.
- The characters: Make your own. Well-known characters belong to their owners, and copying them can get a channel struck.
- Quality: YouTube rewards kids content that teaches or inspires. A fast stream of similar videos is what its quality rules target.

Frequently asked questions.
Can I publish these on YouTube Kids?
You can publish to YouTube and mark the video as made for kids. Whether it also appears in the YouTube Kids app is up to YouTube. Clippie has no connection to that decision.
Can kids use Clippie themselves?
Not on their own. Clippie is for people 18 and over, or 13 and over with a parent or guardian who accepts the terms and is responsible for the account. It is not for children under 13.
Can I keep the same characters in every episode?
Yes. Save characters to your library and pick them in each new story. On looks that take reference pictures, such as Kids cartoon, Clippie draws from the character’s picture as well as the description.
Can I retell classic fairy tales?
Many old tales are in the public domain, but specific modern retellings, songs and character designs are not. Write your own version and design your own characters.
What does a video use from my plan?
Drawing the scene pictures and editing are included. The voiceover uses voice minutes and the finished export uses export minutes. Animating scenes is optional and uses AI credits, and the price shows before you start.
